I’m new to Metal Detecting and getting used to my new Garrett AT Pro Metal Detector. I’ve been digging lots of iron in an old farm in Massachusetts with a history dating back to the mid 1700’s.
I was even enjoying finding iron. Old cut nails, oxen shoes, and some ornate decorative pieces. At this point it is all fun and interesting.
On my 4th time out I didn’t go into the farm field, instead I stayed on a main path that leads to the field. I found two of my most interesting relics.
No idea what they are but they look old…
Can any of our awesome reader’s identify this item? Our guess is part of a shoe buckle, but it’s just a guess.
