In this series, we have selected 100 metal detecting finds that were extremely difficult to detect and recover, and provide details on the circumstances and techniques that contributed to their successful recovery.
KEEPER: These three finds were all together and crack me up. I love the photo of these together. A cheap vintage ring, a vintage lipstick tube, and an early 1900s-1930s condom tin. A good time was apparently had.
SITE: Front yard of a house, right off the driveway
SITE EVALUATION: 9 of 10 Awesome CW picket post full of a variety of unusually rare Confederate bullets and other cool finds. These 3 were a little out of the norm but very quirky and awesome IMHO.
PERMISSION: Awesome homeowner. I parked at the base of his long driveway and decided to walk up hill. I had my hands on my knees and was winded when he opened the door so him laughing at me actually started the conversation out on a humourous good note.
Rescan Hole: These finds give a whole ‘notha meaning to the phrase “pocket spill”. Oh snap. But I kept hitting that hole with that pinpointer over and over and the vintage items kept coming out. Uh. Yep.
